Cory Foulk is an endurance triathlete who competes in races where the bike portion is always more than 100 miles and the run portion is at least the length of a marathon. By mid-2005 his hip pain was so severe that he was going to say goodbye to his 30-year competitive lifestyle. Then he got relief with the BHR Hip. “Towards the middle of 2005, it was the endgame for me. It was awful. That year I decided to say goodbye to triathlon, which I had been competing at marathon distance or greater for almost 30 years at that point. For me that was a significant change of lifestyle. “I knew that if I had a BHR done and it didn’t work, then I could have a total hip replacement. I had a fallback position. It was almost because I wasn’t willing to commit. I have other options in the future. It was a very conservative approach to that problem.” Individual results may vary. |
